Michinoku Pro will present a special event on July 20 at Hills Hotel Michinoku Hall in Sendai (6:00 PM). The Tohoku Tag Team Championship has the distinction of having legends a part of its legacy, such as The Great Sasuke, Jinsei Shinzaki, Último Dragón, Kensuke Sasaki, and Dick Togo. So after recently crowned champions Rasse and Ringo Yamaya successfully defended it earlier this month against Brahman Shu and Brahman Kei in the main event, it was a safe bet that it would not be long before another team stepped forward to challenge for the Tohoku Tag Team Championship.
That team is in the form of Ken45 and Taro Nohashi. Although they have not seen tag team action together since 2021, Ken45 and Nohashi are both very experienced and sucessful tag team wrestlers. Ken45 has held the Tohoku Tag Team Championship twice, and during his first reign, he also held the UWA World Tag Team Championship during that 2018-2019 reign, which has a unique history with its roots older than Michinoku Pro itself. The championship was established in 1982 in the Universal Wrestling Association, which was based in Mexico, and was unified with the Tohoku Tag Team Championship at the time. As for Nohashi, a highlight of his resume is that he is the first Tohoku, UWA World, Kyushu Pro Wrestling Triple Crown Tag co-Champion in pro-wrestling history.
The rest of the card will be announced in the near future, but it's already clear that this will be a must-see event! Tickets are available at Lawson Ticket, Ticket Pia, e +, and via Michinoku Pro Wrestling Telephone Reservation- 019 (687) 2431.
