[YPW] [RESULTS] Yanagase Pro Wrestling event- 1/14/23

One day after the Ladius event, the men's division of YPW was in action at SPORTS BAR M's Cafe.

In the first match of the night, Lowther and Michio Kageyama teamed to face Jack Kennedy and Yanagase Kamen Fuerza.

Lowther and Jack Kennedy started the match for their teams, and Kennedy's strength advantage proved to be an obstacle, as Lowther used both strength and technical wrestling, but was unable to take Kennedy down with either strategy.

Michio Kageyama and Yanagase Kamen Fuerza then tagged in. Fuerza was in control at first, but Kageyama soon overpowered Fuerza before tagging in and out with Lowther, trying to make Fuerza submit.

Yanagase Kamen Fuerza turned the tide when he reversed a suplex attempt by Michio Kageyama and then tagged in Jack Kennedy, who cleaned house.

Jack Kennedy stayed on Michio Kageyama until he halted Kennedy's momentum with dropkicks to his knees. Kageyama continued to focus on one of Kennedy's knees and attempted to make him submit.

Although unable to make Jack Kennedy submit, Michio Kageyama continued his attack, delivering roundhouse kicks to Kennedy's left knee. But when Kageyama rebounded off the ropes, Kennedy caught Kageyama in a scoop powerslam and then managed to crawl over to his corner to tag in Yanagase Kamen Fuerza, while Kageyama simultaneously tagged in Lowther. Fuerza and Lowther remained the legal men for the rest of match, which ended when Fuerza slid out of what appeared to be a dragon suplex attempt or a full nelson and reversed it into a pin for the win.

The next match was a "3WAY" match between FantastICE Champion and Prominence member Akane Fujita, former KO-D Openweight Champion and current VKF King Of Wrestle Naniwa Champion Shigehiro Irie, and Mari Manji of Ladius.

This match was a good blend of comedy and wrestling action, showing that all three wrestlers are capable of wrestling in a match of any style.

In the end, the match was declared a draw. When the referee made a three-count, Shigehiro Irie was covering Akane Fujita and Mari Manji lying face-up, meanwhile Fujita and Manji were holding down Irie's arms with their own arms. It was a finish that no one had expected.

In the final match of the night, Konaka = Pale One and Shinya Ishida faced NWA Intercontinental Tag Team Champions Yasu Kubota & Hide Kubota.

Yasu Kubota and Shinya Ishida started the match for their teams. They competed against each other last month in singles action at a YPW event.

The stronger of the two, Yasu Kubota was able to shoulder block Shinya Ishida to the mat with ease, but his speed and agility was too much for Kubota to keep up with, as Ishida arm dragged Kubota to the mat and soon followed it up with a dropkick to the side of his head.

Konaka and Hide Kubota then tagged in. Konaka appears in YPW regularly, and has wrestled in many other promotions during his 19-year career, including Michinoku Pro, BJW, AJPW, Ice Ribbon, WAVE, and PURE-J.

A much more experienced team, Yasu Kubota & Hide Kubota were able to keep Konaka in the ring while they tagged in and out to keep each other fresh while they worked on him individually and double-teamed with back elbows and a double elbow drop.

Konaka was eventually able to turn the tide of the match by outmaneuvering Yasu Kubota and tagging in Shinya Ishida. Yasu Kubota & Hide Kubota double-teamed Ishida, but he fought them off with his athleticism.

With Yasu Kubota alone in the ring, Shinya Ishida continued his control of the match, rocking Kubota with a corner dropkick, attempting to choke him out with a reverse chinlock, and nailing him with a rana followed by a dropkick. But Ishida couldn't keep Kubota down, him showing the tenacity that helped Hide Kubota and himself become NWA Intercontinental Tag Team Champions.

Shinya Ishida then tagged in Konaka, who tried to put Yasu Kubota away with a diving overhead chop, and then a shiranui, but neither maneuver was enough to keep Kubota down for a three-count. Kubota eventually made a comeback by catching Konaka in a spinning sidewalk slam after he rebounded off the ropes towards Kubota for an attack. Both men then crawled to their respective corners and tagged out to their partners.

The legal men for the remainder of the match, the action between Hide Kubota and Shinya Ishida was back and forth until Kubota pinned Ishida for the win after delivering a lifting double underhook facebuster.
