Michinoku Pro returned to Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo on August 24 for pro-wrestling action, and it was another eventful night, highlighted by an exciting main event, the Chiba Six Man Tag Team Championship being on the line, and appearances by talent from 2AW.
In the first match Koji Kawamura faced Dinosaur Takuma. Currently a member of the 2AW roster, Takuma has also been seen in promotions such as NJPW, AJPW, and BJW. He is a very unique comedy wrestler, in that while he wears a dinosaur outfit complete with a tail that seems to be attached to his body (if someone pulls it, Takuma yells out in pain), he is a very tough opponent. Takuma dominated most of the match using his size and strength.
Even though Dinosaur Takuma is not above tactics such as brawling or biting his opponent, but that doesn't mean that Takuma doesn't have technical skills, which he proved he has when he slapped a half crab on Koji Kawamura at one point in the match.
Kawamura is the faster and more agile of the two and he used this to his advantage to the best of his ability, but Takuma's power was too much for him on this night, as the Dinosaur won the match with his, "Dinosaur Bomb" finisher.
Next was Jinsei Shinzaki going against Kikutaro. Currently a freelance wrestler, Kikutaro has been seen in a multitude of notable promotions all over the world, including NJPW, ROH, Impact Wrestling, PWG, Dragon Gate (where he has held the Open The Owarai Gate Championship), CHIKARA, NOAH, ZERO1, AJPW, WAVE, FMW, JWP, BJW, and DDT.
Kikutaro was in for a tough challenge during this appearance in Michinoku Pro, as Jinsei Shinzaki also has wrestled for companies all over the world, including WWE, ECW, NJPW, and AJPW.
Jinsei Shinzaki was all business in the ring.
Having almost the same amount of years of ring experience as Jinsei Shinzaki, Kikutaro managed to get the upper hand at one point, and even attempted to walk the top rope like Shinzaki does.
But ultimately, Jinsei Shinzaki managed to outwrestle Kikutaro, overcoming him with submissions and eventually making Kikutaro submit.
In the next match, it was time for the Chiba Six Man Tag Team Championship to be on the line. The previous time that Michinoku Pro was in Tokyo, Yapperman 1, Yapperman 2, and Rasse were the Champions, but this time, the championships were not in their possession as they came to the ring.
The reason for this was that at a recent 2AW (the promotion that the Chiba Six Man Tag Team Championship belongs to) event, The Great Sasuke, Brahman Shu, and Brahman Kei won the Championship, meaning that instead of being the challengers, they would now be defending the Championship at this Michinoku Pro event.
It's common to see Brahman Shu and Brahman Kei create chaos the moment they entire a venue, immediately spitting and throwing water at fans, but with the Chiba Six Man Tag Team Championship gold on the line, they both had a more serious demeanor at first.
This was only temporary however, as they began brawling at the start of the match, and soon after took things to another level by continuing the action outside of the ring and bringing out their trademark water and suitcase weapons.
The action went into the crowd, and the fans loved every minute of it.
While in the crowd, items were taken from crowd members, which were used in the match once the action returned to the ring.
Brahman Shu and Brahman Kei then did their trademark spot of placing a suitcase between an opponent's legs while their opponent is sitting in a corner of the ring, with a side of the suitcase facing the other corner, then grabbing a bowling ball, and throwing the ball into the suitcase from the opposite corner.
Wanting to taste gold again, the Yappermen and Rasse continued to fight back, even using the Braham's own suitcase against their partner The Great Sasuke.
With mostly chaos going on, The Great Sasuke changed the pace of the match by using technical wrestling in an attempt to turn the tide of the match in his team's favor, utilizing a LaBell Lock.
The Brahmans attempted to use a traffic sign on Rasse, but this backfired when he moved out the way.
In the end, Yapperman 1, Yapperman 2, and Rasse overcame everything that was thrown at them (sometimes literally) and defeated he Great Sasuke, Brahman Shu, and Brahman Kei, regaining the Chiba Six Man Tag Team Championship.
In the semi-main event, MUSASHI faced Kaji Tomato from 2AW.
There was a lot of back and forth action in this match, with both men getting the upper hand at times.
In the end, MUSASHI showed why he's the Michinoku Pro Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion when he picked up a win after hitting Kaji Tomato with a Falcon Arrow when Tomato was about to attempt a move from the second turnbuckle.
In the main event, Kenbai, Taro Nohashi, and HAPPY-MAN teamed to face Rui Hyūgaji, Kengo, and Ayumu Gunji.
Even though all wrestlers in this match had their moments to shine, both teams worked well together, especially the team of Rui Hyūgaji, Kengo, and Ayumu Gunji, with Gunji picking up the win for his team.
