[Pro Wrestling Australia] PWA COLOSSEUM 2024 on 10/12 & 10/13

Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA) was founded in 2004, and the Sydney-based promotion is considered by many fans to be the best promotion in Australia, praised for its talent roster, matches, and production quality. Every October, PWA present its annual COLOSSEUM tournament, taking place this year at Metro Theatre on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, which PWA calls, "Australia's No.1 Destination Pro Wrestling Weekend'', considering the tournament will feature 8 of the best pro wrestlers from inside and outside of Australia in an elimination style tournament, with the winner being awarded the Colosseum Sword. Previous COLOSSEUM tournament winners include NJPW star Zack Sabre Jr., Matty Wahlberg (current WWE Superstar Grayson Waller), and NJPW star / current Soul Of PWA Champion Robbie Eagles.



Pro Wrestling Australia COLOSSEUM is a PWA Black Label event, meaning that it's for ages 18+ and will consist of adult themes and humor.



Along with the COLOSSEUM tournament, another highly anticipated part of this event will be Grayson Waller's return to Pro Wrestling Australia, which will take place on October 12th. He will face off against Jimmy Townsend, who has appeared in NJPW. After Townsend recently won the Key to the Card at a PWA event, therefore gaining the power to challenge for a match of his choosing, Townsend declared that he wanted to face Waller in the main event of night one of PWA's Grand Final, and Waller initially shot down Townsend's challenge. But there is a lot of history between the two of them, and Waller and Townsend know each other very well, so Townsend knew how to word his trash talking strategically to then elicit the response that he wanted and ignite Waller's competitive spirit, which will lead to an unforgettable encounter between a rising star on the Australian wrestling scene and one of the Australian wrestling scene's biggest success stories.






One first round match of the COLOSSEUM tournament on October 12 has importance that sets the tone for how big of an event Pro Wrestling Australia COLOSSEUM 2024 will be: PWA Heavyweight Champion Jessica Troy will defend her championship against former Sendai Girls star Charli Evans!

In other action, rugby league legend James Graham will be making his pro wrestling debut at Pro Wrestling Australia COLOSSEUM 2024 on 10/13. During Graham's rugby career, he displayed exceptional talent and physicality that led to international success. Graham's dominant performances in the Super League and NRL gained him the status of one of the best players in the world, and Graham will now bring his athletic skills to the PWA ring, where he will team with Jack J. Bonza (who has appeared in NJPW) to face The Regime (Backman & Ricky South)!

A Six Pack Challenge will take place on 10/13, featuring Everett Connors (who has appeared in ROH), Tony Sin, Hari Singh, Bobby Bishop, Rhys Angel, and Mitch McCarthy!




In a non title tag team match, PWA Tag Team Champions Aaron Jake & Bel Pierce will face Robbie Eagles and Ben Braxton (who has appeared in NJPW) on 10/13!

In a tag team match on 10/13 that will be city vs. country, The Dropouts will clash with North Shore Wrestling!
